2019 Official Crop Insurance Base Prices

During the month of February, crop insurance base prices are being set. The base price is a major factor in your decision for crop insurance coverage in 2019. At Summit Ag Insurance, our goal is to help you understand your coverage options and help you make informed decisions.

The current atmosphere in farming demands a solid understanding of the risks you face in production agriculture. Base prices are set using the daily settlement prices from the Chicago Board of Trade; the December contract for corn and the November contract for soybeans.
